Supporting the Head of School and Academic Leadership team, Elizabeth has responsibility for providing strategic leadership in relation to policy, planning, development, and sustainability. Elizabeth leads OSGA’s administration in implementing strategy, supporting teaching, research, and policy engagement, ensuring good governance and providing high-quality services for staff, students and visitors.
Leading a team of professional support staff, Elizabeth has overall responsibility of all aspects of non-academic operations, including:
-Human Resources, recruitment and retention
-Budgets and financial control
-Research support: pre- and post-award grant management
-Fundraising
-Academic administration
-IT and communications
-Building and events management
-Health and safety, and security
Elizabeth joined OSGA from DPIR where she was Research Manager & Deputy HAF. Before working for DPIR, Elizabeth was seconded from the research support team at the Law Faculty to work as Research Impact Facilitator for Division, supporting the impact case studies for the REF within four departments. Prior to her time at the University, Elizabeth worked in London for five years as a speech-writer and researcher in the House of Lords and as a project manager for the Crossbench Peer Lord Mawson’s social enterprise company Andrew Mawson Partnerships, which facilitates collaboration between government, corporations, and the public sector.
