European Commission Horizon Europe Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions- MSCA4Ukraine

The European Commission allocated extra €10 million to support displaced researchers from Ukraine, for the MSCA4Ukraine initiative, funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, under Horizon Europe.  
The scheme is open to all domains of research and innovation and allows researchers to start a new project or continue their previous work. It can be awarded for a minimum of 6 months and a maaximum of 24 months. The selected candidates will start their fellowships by early 2025.
Applicants must be: 

 

  • “(1) Ukrainian nationals, or (2) stateless persons, or (3) nationals from third countries other than Ukraine, with their primary residence in Ukraine on 24 February 2022” displaced from Ukraine on or after 24 February 2022 
  •  postdoctoral researchers at the date of the call deadline, or have successfully defended their doctoral thesis 
  • have the language skills required to conduct their research activities at the host organisation.

The Oxford School of Global and Area Studies will support applications to the scheme and it holds an annual internal competition.  Applicants need to prepare an application together with their potential supervisor at OSGA.
 
Those who are interested in applying for this scheme should note that following the OSGA internal application procedure:
 

  • By noon 22/07/2024 -  please send your CV and expression of interest using Template application form – Part 1: Application outline (available at https://sareurope.eu/msca4ukraine/information-for-applicants/)  to research@area.ox.ac.uk. OSGA’s internal panel will provide information about the shortlisted proposals within 5 working days
  • By 19/08/2024 only shortlisted candidates will be invited to send a complete application ( Template Full application and all the supporting documents) to research@area.ox.ac.uk. OSGA's Research Facilitation Team will review the completeness of the documents.
  • By 29/08/2024 the application must be completed and sent to research@area.ox.ac.uk   It will then be sent to the Research Services for tinstitutional approval, before  submission to the funder.
