Francesca Lessa’s new podcast on Operation Condor, accountability, and justice

Francesca Lessa, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellow at the Latin American Centre, joined Steven Hyland (Wingate University) to talk about her research project on Operation Condor and the pursuit of justice and accountability for the states and actors responsible for transnational human rights crimes in the 1970s. The podcast was produced by the Southeastern Council of Latin American Studies.

During the hour-long podcast, Dr Lessa discusses in detail her work monitoring the Operation Condor trial in Argentina, as well as the progress of judicial proceedings across South America and beyond, which have endeavoured to investigate transnational atrocities since the 1980s.
